In the summer of 1981, a group of professional actors from Hong Kong saw the vision and took up the challenge of providing quality theatrical productions for new immigrants in the greater Los Angeles area. Over these years, our emphasis has been placed on introducing influential Broadway and European dramas to the Chinese community.
Currently, we also expand our mission to build a cross cultural bridge by participating and sponsoring cross-cultural events within our community. Original scripts have also been written and produced. Under the coordination of director John-Mark Ho, many projects in educating, training, and performing have been successfully accomplished.
In 1999, we understand the importance of an organized entity to effectively carry out our mission. As a result, we registered as a non-profit organization in Fall in Los Anagles County. Our name as Quality Acting Troupe is to emphasize on the acting aspect of performing art. Our Board of Directors will put this organization to a more defined environment. We are pleased to be a group that will let the Chinese community to enjoy quality stage drama in US.
